With the campaign pledge by the Trudeau Liberal government that the 2015 federal election would be the last vote conducted under the traditional first-past-the-post system, there is a chance to consider alternative forms of voting and electing members of Parliament.

Fair Vote Canada, which looks at proportional representation, among other voting alternatives to first-past-the post, will conduct a town hall discussion open to the public on Monday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 13190 Keele St., King City.

Dan Desson of Fair Vote Canada-York Region will be in attendance to speak and take questions.
