The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada announced on Wednesday the visit by the Caliph, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, in October. The visit comes at a historical time as the community celebrates 50 years of establishment in Canada.
The Caliph is scheduled to arrive on October 3 at Baitul Islam Mosque, Vaughan, Ontario, where a public reception ceremony will be held. Tens of thousands of Canadian Muslim men, women and children will gather to joyously receive the Caliph and welcome their spiritual leader.
The Canadian tour of the Caliph will commence with the largest and longest-running Muslim convention in the country - Jalsa Salana Canada. More than 25,000 people from over a dozen countries are expected to attend this unique three-day event. The Caliph will address the convention and shed light on the true and peaceful teachings of Islam.
The Caliph has delivered lectures at renowned global venues such as Capitol Hill, the UK House of Parliament and the European Parliament, advocating for universal human rights, just international relations and the service of humanity. At a time of rising global conflict, he continues to provide crucial, timely guidance to world leaders through Islam’s message of peace, justice and unity.
Members of the community are working around the clock in preparation for the Caliph’s visit, as they anxiously await the arrival of their spiritual leader.
