Yellow Brick House for abused women, children first agency to benefit from Enercare program

Three families who turned to York Region’s Yellow Brick House for abused women and their children are getting a fresh start.

The agency is the inaugural charity partner for the new Enercare Fresh Start program, an initiative by the energy company designed to help families transition from temporary shelters to a home of their own.

The families will each receive a comfort package that includes linens, toiletries, toys and kitchen utensils and professional home tips.

Enercare has also provided Yellow Brick House with subsidized services such as the maintenance and replacement of its heating and cooling equipment at its York Region facilities.
