New Hwy. 404 carpool lot coming to Richmond Hill

York Region commuters may soon have a new carpool parking lot located at Hwy. 404 and Major Mackenzie Drive East in the Town of Richmond Hill.

The Ontario Ministry of Transportation project will also include realignment of the southbound access ramp to Hwy. 404, according to Sandra Sadek, project manager with the ministry.

The provincial government is undertaking a detail design and class environmental assessment and there will be opportunities for the public and interested parties to discuss the project with the project team, Sadek said last month in a report to York Regional Council.
