A spokesman for Quebec's taxi lobby says members will meet with the province's transport minister on Monday before deciding whether to apply pressure tactics over the government's deal with Uber.
Union spokesman Benoit Jugand says the industry will likely take legal action to try to stop a one-year pilot project on ride sharing from going ahead.
Quebec reached an agreement with the ride-hailing company late Wednesday night allowing Uber drivers to continue operating in the province for the project's duration.
The deal has angered taxi industry representatives, who have accused the the government of betraying them by negotiating with a company they say operates outside the law.
Jugand says the drivers may still decide to strike or hold other protests in the coming days.
