Through sponsorship with Enbridge Gas donating 444 combination alarms, the Fire Marshal's Safety Council and VFRS can continue to reach the goal of zero fire fatalities in the City of Vaughan as it is critical to intensify outreach efforts concerning smoke alarm and carbon monoxide use and placement.
To help reach this goal in the City of Vaughan, the Alarm For Life Program will be an intensive door to door program to ensure proper placement and operation of smoke alarms, carbon monoxide and additional education on home escape planning. Vaughan Fire Rescue invited all on July 8th at 16 Cherry Hill Road to attend and meet the sponsors as they conducted smoke alarm/co inspection. The Vaughan Fire Rescue installs are for free and their goal is to visit 3000 homes.
