Ward 1 Civic Hero Award Presented To Garry Vosburg

Garry Vosburg understands the importance of making a difference in the community. The long time Maple resident has been giving back for more than 30 years as a volunteer and fundraiser for numerous local organizations. In recognition of his efforts, Vosburg was presented with the Civic Hero Award for Ward 1 by Vaughan Council.

Vosburg donates his time as a coach and has been involved with two not-for-profit Judo clubs as well as minor baseball and hockey, and is a committee member of the Special Olympics. He was a founding member of SantaFest in Maple, serving as parade manager, vice-chair and secretary, and he co-ordinated float support from York Regional Police, secured donations and oversaw construction of the Santa Claus float.
