Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell & Mayor Bevilacqua Welcome New Canadians

Her honour, the honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and the Honourable Maurizio Bevilacqua, Mayor of Vaughan presented Canadian Citizenship Certificates to 30 new Canadian Citizens in a citizenship ceremony. This all took place at Vaughan City Hall on July 1st at 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive from 9am to 11:30am.

Every new Canadian brings with them a personal story of the journey that brought them here. As Canadians, we appreciate this diversity as well as the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law which defines our compassionate and caring spirit. We understand that being a Canadian comes with the responsibility to participate and contribute to our collective communities.
