With their chance of a playoff spot all but mathematically gone, Toronto FC II will now try to salvage some pride as they take on FC Montreal this Sunday in Vaughan at 4 p.m.

The Young Reds blew an opportunity to earn some crucial points at home dropping a 1-0 decision Wednesday evening to United Soccer League Eastern Conference leaders New York Red Bulls II.

But with just four games remaining in the season, three of them at home, the club got some good news as first-team keeper Clint Irwin, recovering from a long-term injury, was loaned to the team by parent squad Toronto FC.

Irwin may play Sunday against Montreal, as TFC II, now nine points back of eighth-place Orlando City B, who also have two games in hand on the Young Reds, try to earn some points down the stretch.
