Are you ready to get wet tomorrow?

Environment Canada has issued a special rainfall statement for most of central, southern and eastern Ontario, and the south part of Quebec, as a massive storm rolls in from the United States. The rain is expected to begin overnight Monday or early Tuesday morning and it could drop 25 to 40 millimetres of precipitation in most places covered by the statement. However, rainfall could exceed 60 mm in some places.

The storm is a slow-moving, low-pressure system that originated in Texas. It will bring tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico to southern Ontario.

Rainfall statements can be issued if precipitation of more than 50 mm appears somewhat certain.
