Alessia De Gasperis is the winner of the 2016 Clear Canadian Contest.
The singing competition, formerly known as Collingwood Idol, took place on Canada Day and saw singers perform Canadian songs.
De Gasperis from Vaughan beat out five other finalists for the title, including Jamie McLaughlin, Neil Crowe, Romy Levy, Tate Funston and Wayne Fennell.
She took home $500 and will perform at the Collingwood Art Crawl this September.
