With sales quickly progressing for Plaza and Berkeley's The Met, a 35-storey condominium tower coming to Jane Street north of Highway 7 in Vaughan, we paid a visit to the project's presentation centre earlier today for a closer look at the development. Located just southwest of the project's Jane Street site, the presentation centre occupies a retail unit at the north end of a stripmall bearing Plaza's branding.
Stepping inside, guests are greeted by a reception desk flanked by two wings. One wing is devoted to a large scale model -built by Vaughan-based Myles Burke Architectural Models - as well as wall-mounted floorplans depicting units within the development. The scale model provides ample insight into the project's Quadrangle Architects design, and we will return for a detailed look at the model in the near future.
The other wing of the presentation centre allows visitors to get a first-hand look at the interior details of the building's units, as well as learn what's to come in the rapidly-evolving Vaughan Metropolitan Centre development node surrounding the future Vaughan Centre subway terminus now under construction. The centrepiece of the space is a large table-mounted 3D master plan for Vaughan's emerging downtown, featuring massing models of the office and residential towers planned for the vicinity of The Met.
The space also features a projector and large screen for video presentations, and a wall of finish packages, both seen in the image above. A selection of four different suite vignettes are also included in the presentation centre, showing off the finish packages for two different kitchens and bathrooms.
