Firefighters have extinguished a large blaze at a manufacturing company yard in Vaughan.
Crews were called to the scene, located on Snidercroft Road near Keele Street and Highway 407, at around 2 p.m.
Aerial images captured by the CTV Toronto helicopter showed thick black smoke funneling into the sky from the area.
York Regional police said the fire began in a garbage bin and spread to a forklift.
It was not immediately clear how the fire might have been sparked.
No injuries have been reported.
Vaughan Fire tweeted that the fire had been mostly extinguished by 3 p.m. but that “major overhaul is required” at the scene.
Snidercroft Road to Keele Street has been closed as crews work to clean up the area.
