Stouffville asking residents to conserve water during heat wave

Turn off that hose! The town’s asking you not to waste water.

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville - in conjunction with York Region - is asking residents and business owners to conserve their water use for the next few weeks while the weather remains hot and dry.

Annual water restrictions are in effect from May 15 to Sept. 30.

Addresses with even numbers are permitted to use water outdoors on even numbered days of the month. While addresses with odd numbers are permitted to use water outdoors on odd numbered days of the month.

Regardless, outdoor water use is only permitted between six to 10 a.m. and six to 10 p.m. Restrictions will be enforced by bylaw officers.
