Toronto FC II dropped a 1-0 decision at home Sunday night to the Charleston Battery in United Soccer League action.
The defeat came before 1,069 fans at the Ontario Soccer Centre and saw captain Skylar Thomas sent off for the second time this season.
The loss also came on top of a two-game road losing streak the team went through last week.
With just 3 wins in 17 games of the 30-game season, TFC II will have to string together some victories if it hopes to make the playoffs.
Toronto FC II heads back on the road to play this Saturday at Wilmington FC and returns home Wednesday, July 6, for a 7:30 p.m game at the Ontario Soccer Centre against Bethlehem Steel FC. For more information including tickets visit www.tfc2.ca.
