VITA Opens Fee-For-Service Centre In Vaughan

VITA Community Living Services & MensSana Families for Mental Health (VITA) has opened a new and innovative fee-for-service centre in Vaughan where people can access a variety of affordable support services and activities for adults with developmental disabilities, giving families more choice and greater flexibility to create their own support plans to better meet their needs and circumstances. Located at 411 Confederation Parkway (Unit 3), the new facility, which is equipped with a computer lab, a full kitchen and other purpose-built spaces, will serve as VITA’s fee-for-service hub to support individuals and families plan, connect and coordinate all of the VITA services and supports they need, including community inclusion activities, personal support planning and budgeting, caregiver respite and a range of other services. The specialized services and activities available through VITA’s new fee-for-service hub will promote independent living, job readiness, employment and volunteerism, health and wellness, personal learning and development, leisure and recreation, and greater community involvement.
