Vaughan Film Festival Recap

Snapd Woodbridge/Snapd Vaughan East
June 2016

The Vaughan Film Festival celebrated another successful year in an exciting four-day event that showcased local and international artists. Founded by Antonio Ienco and Mark Pagliaroli of Reel Film Pictures, the annual VFF satisfies the cultural appetite of this growing community while offering an arts forum befitting our world-class city. Not only were public film screenings of student, indie Canadian and International cinema followed by sensational social events, actors were also treated to an in-depth seminar with some of Toronto’s best talent agents. The VFF Awards Show closed out the 4-day festival and showcased the chosen best to take home a prestigious Golden Reel Award. Among some of the finest in the entertainment industry, their guest of honour was none other than Hollywood legend William Baldwin who was granted the Independent Leadership Award for his contributions to up and coming filmmakers.

As a non-for-profit organization the festival also supports and furthers arts education by granting various scholarships and bursaries to young filmmakers, art students and educational institutions in our city.
