A 25-year-old Vaughan woman with a passion for writing, television broadcasting and wheelchair-dancing is hoping to be named Miss Universe Canada next month.

And she can use your help on her way to the title.

Amandalina Letterio, from a “big Italian family” in Woodbridge, loves cars so much she writes about them for the Metroland Media publication Wheels. She is also a part-time reporter for Rogers TV York Region

But Letterio really loves to spend time wheelchair-dancing with her friends.

“I love dancing at Wheel events. I love to be active and I started doing it because I wanted to,” she said.

A graduate of Father Bressani High School in Woodbridge, Letterio went on to study journalism and television broadcasting at Seneca College. When she’s not writing and working on TV, she’s usually hiking or in-line skating.

Lately, she’s also been working on charity projects such the CIBC Run for the Cure coming in October or organizing a car show at Heroes Comic Book shop in Vaughan.

You can help Letterio break into the Top 20 women and automatically qualify for the pageant final, June 11, in Etobicoke by going online and voting for her.
