There are far worse roads in Ontario than you’ll find in York Region but if you are driving around the region, you may want to avoid Vaughan.
No regional streets made this year’s annual top 10 list of worst roads released Thursday morning by the Canadian Automobile Association.
But the CAA also listed worst roads in different regions of Ontario.
In the Halton-Peel-York-Durham category, Vaughan had three of the five worst roads.
Dufferin Street came in second behind Cedar St. N. in Uxbridge.
Fourth on the list was King-Vaughan Road and fifth was Hwy. 7.
Third place went to Zephyr Road in Uxbridge.
Other than Vaughan, no roads in York Region made the list.
Overall, County Road 49 in Prince Edward County is the worst road to drive on in the province.
Next came Algonquin Boulevard West in Timmins, Balmoral Street in Thunder Bay, Algonquin Boulevard East in Timmins, Queenston Street in St. Catharines. Burlington Street East in Hamilton, Lorne Street in Sudbury, Bayview Avenue in Toronto, Dufferin Street in Toronto, while Riverside Drive in Timmins and Water Street in Thunder Bay tied for 10th spot.
The list is compiled after drivers, cyclists and pedestrians submit their nominees every year.
