Parliamentary committee on electoral reform

May 11 federal democratic institutions minister Maryam Monsef and House of Commons government
leader Dominic LeBlanc gave notice of a motion to establish a special all-party committee on electoral
reform.

The committee will identify and study a number of different voting systems and will consider the issues of mandatory voting and online voting.

The proposed committee will table a report with findings and recommendations by December 1.
