GTA IN BRIEF: Campaign financing report released

4 Campaign Fairness Ontario released a report coauthored by Robert McDermid, Jenny Lugar
and Claire Malcolmson that analyzes campaign financing sources in Ontario communities during the
2014 municipal elections.

The report finds that over half of all corporate campaign contributions came from the development
industry, and that developers contribute more in municipalities that are experiencing higher rates of
development.
