The predicted winter storm lived up to its billing yesterday and early this morning.
A winter storm warning from Environment Canada remained in effect for all of York Region as of 1:23 a.m.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected before the snow tapers off later this morning.
The snow is also blowing in winds up to 70 kilometres per hour, creating poor visibility.
