The Lunar New Year

March 2016

A couple weeks ago, the Lunar New Year made way welcoming the year of the monkey in style on Feb. 13th at CF Promenade located on 1 Promenade Circle Thornhill. Deputy Mayor and Regional Councillor Michael Di Biase and Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco were present to help welcome in the Lunar New Year. There was a packed house filled with excited guests and special cultural presentations and performances that signaled the start of something great. The Lunar New Year is the first day of a secular, sacred, or other guise whose months are coordinated by the cycles of the moon. The celebration was a massive one as everyone got into the spirit and had an enjoyable stay.
