It was quite the way to kick off the year at the 2016 Vaughan Business Expo. The Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre (VBEC), in partnership with the Province of Ontario and the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs (ONE), invited businesses to the 14th Annual Vaughan Business Expo on Feb. 10th at the Terrace Banquet Centre located on 1680 Creditstone Road. The day’s agenda began bright and early at 8:00 a.m. and ran until 2:00 p.m. The day featured registration, networking and a Continental breakfast. There were greetings from VBEC, the City of Vaughan Economic Development and Culture Services, the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure (MEDEI), the Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI) and Canada Business Ontario (CBO). The official opening was conducted by Mayor of Vaughan, the Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua. There were tradeshow exhibits featuring the Vaughan Metropolitan centre lounge. Also there was spotlight segments on Vaughan Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Shiva Bhardwaj and Yashin Shah, founders of Ansik Inc., Shocklock and Pitsop.io. Keynote speeches, "Digital Payments and your Business", were made by Blaise MacNeil, the Vice President of Business Integration for RBC. Overall, many businesses benefited from this expo and we can’t wait until the next one!
