Get your shovels ready, Environment Canada has upgraded tomorrow's winter storm forecast for York Region from a watch to a warning.
March will come in like a lion as a snowstorm hits southern Ontario Tuesday, thanks to a low pressure system over Texas heading towards the Great Lakes.
We could be in for a dumping of about 15 centimetres of snow between Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning.
"Some local blowing snow is expected with this storm, with winds gusting to 60 kilometers per hour out of the northeast," reads a statement from Environment Canada.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some areas. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
