The RBC Family Skate For Mackenzie Health Foundation

March 2016
Last month, RBC hosted a free family skate at Woodbridge Memorial Arena in support of the Mackenzie Health Foundation on Feb. 7th between 3pm-5pm. In attendance were many members of the community and council, including Councillor Tony Carella, Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco, MP Francesco Sorbara and others. Even Leo the Lion made its presence felt as it took plenty of pictures with the guests. RBC later presented a cheque on center ice to the Mackenzie Health Foundation for a generous amount of $36,000! The family skate was a hit as kids and families enjoyed the day right before the Super Bowl got underway. This was a remarkable moment and gesture from RBC as they continue to be a key facilitator of excellence within the community. Mackenzie Health Foundation was established in 1977 and has raised more than $101 million for capital projects, medical equipment, technology and educational opportunities for Mackenzie Health. Today, Mackenzie Health Foundation is proud to work with its generous community to inspire donations that advance patient care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital, as well as to raise the community portion of funding to build and equip the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
