The 6th annual HELP fundraiser, held at Montecassino Place last November benefiting individuals and families affected with eating disorders (ED), managed to raise $9,000.
Additionally, the public and those who attended were invited to submit names for the new centre, to be built in Vaughan, and of 85 ballots received, 80 chose ‘Sarah’s Place,’ as the name of the proposed centre.
Sally Macchiusi won the draw, a $100 gift certificate to Avenue Ristorante. The first week of Feburary was recognized as Eating Disorders Awareness week by Vaughan council.
