TransCanada Pipelines is looking to build another natural gas pipeline in the northwest end of Vaughan, near Nashville, and you have a chance to weigh in.

The National Energy Board (NEB) is holding a public hearing on the proposed 11.7-kilometre pipeline, which would run from the Huntington Road and Major Mackenzie Drive area north then east - cutting through the Nashville Conservation Reserve - over to the Kipling Road and Kirby Road area.

The proposed pipeline would be integrated into TransCanada’s mainline system and the recently approved King’s North Connection pipeline, which cut through the same area.

Certain parties, including affected landowners and the City of Vaughan, have been pre-approved as participants in the NEB hearing process. Anyone else wishing to participate must apply by March 2.
