Snapd Vaughan East
Feb. 2016
YEDI is a program that accepts only a handful of not for profits every semester that have a social enterprise associated with it. Over the last few months they have been developing a business plan to secure the financial stability of Creating Alternatives for the next five years. They have been working with YEDI to create a vision of a sustainable future for adults with developmental disabilities in our community. On Jan. 22nd that plan came to life. The expo-style event that took place showcased the York Region not-for-profit organizations from the Fall 2015 YEDI program session, and gave participants the opportunity to pitch their projects. The event included presentations by Dr. Marat Ressin the President of YEDI, Vaughan Mayor, the Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua, along with representatives from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre.
