The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama` at celebrated 50 years in Canada at City Hall on Jan. 19th and the event was hosted by Mayor Mayor Bevilacqua. The emcee for the evening was Hon. Greg Sorbara. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at is paving the way to help families transition into their new home country, Canada. As the wave of Syrian refugees begins to enter Canada, thousands of volunteers of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at are working around the clock to arrange living accommodations, food supplies and all other necessities for the newcomer families. Further to providing the Syrian newcomers with basic necessities, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at is also nurturing their integration into everyday Canadian life. As part of “A Better Future” campaign various initiatives are being organized across the country, including awareness campaigns, workshops and information sessions.
