A consultant has been hired to review Windsor's public vehicles by-law to deal with Uber and the taxi industry.
Taxi Research Partners Limited has been hired for just under $28 000.
Back in November, the city voted in favour of hiring the consultant as it deals with the arrival of Uber to try and find a balance between the ride sharing company and taxi industry.
The review will look at insurance issues along with enforcement of the city's by-laws which Uber is currently violating.
The union representing Veteran Cab says the by-laws need to apply to all taxi services including Uber.
