All aboard. Service begins at the new Gormley GO Station off Stouffville Road in Richmond Hill Monday, Dec. 5.

To mark the occasion, Metrolinx hosted an open house Sunday where the community was invited to take a scenic trip on the GO Train between the Gormley and Langstaff GO stations.

The new fully accessible station will serve the five morning and five afternoon GO Train trips along the Richmond Hill Line.

GO Buses will also stop at the station with two-way midday services between Gormley and Union Station as well as a night service from Union Station.

The LEED silver certified station also features 850 parking spaces, electric car charging stations, a bus loop for local transit, a kiss and ride drop off area, heated shelters and a snowmelt system on the platforms.
