Fuerza Latina Made History In Vaughan

Fuerza Latina held an official Flag Raising Ceremony at the Vaughan City Hall for the first time in Vaughan to represent unity and strength among Latinos. As part of the ceremony, youth paraded proudly with 20 Latin flags. It was an honour to have the support of authorities, dignitaries along with members of the community, followed by a grand Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
October was a significant month for the Hispanic community. By proclaiming October as Hispanic Heritage Month in Ontario, the province recognizes the rich contributions of Hispanic-Canadians to our social, economic, political and multicultural fabric. Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to remember, celebrate and educate future generations about the outstanding achievements and contributions of Hispanic people in the province.
