The Meta Foundation Peal Jubilee took place on October 30th at the Universal Event Space located on 6250 Highway 7 in Vaughan. This was an annual dinner and dance event for the Meta Foundation, which supported the Meta Centre. The Meta Centre is a service agency for people with developmental disabilities. Each year a volunteer is selected to receive a prestigious recognition. The emphasis of acknowledgement is for those who service the Meta Centre in the same spirit of giving back to the society Vic De Zen is known for, especially to people with special needs. The evening also included a choreographed performance by participants of Meta Centre's day program. Meta Centre’s vision and ultimate goal is to build a sense of community where all people thrive, are valued, respected and can lead dignified, productive lives. Their mission is to provide quality services and supports for the social inclusion of people with special needs.
