Vaughan Design Review Panel

The Vaughan Design Review Panel will consider the following items at its meeting Thursday, November 24 at 9:00 a.m. in Committee Room 244, Vaughan city hall.

Liberty Maplecrete (Cosmos Condominiums), 2951 Hwy 7, Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, mixed use development— Panel will undertake its first review of phase 1B of the proposed mixed-use development at 2951 Highway 7, in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and receive an update on the overall development plan. The proposal incorporates an eight-storey office building, with atgrade retail and a 35-storey residential tower framing a public square. Presentations will be made by City of Vaughan urban designer Shahrzad Davoudi-Strike, Kirkor Architects & Planners partner David Butterworth and Schollen & Company landscape architect and urban designer Paul Nodwell.

Hilton Garden Inn, 3201 Hwy 7, Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, Mixed Use Development—Panel will undertake its first review of the proposed mixeduse development at 3201 Highway 7, in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. The proposal includes two residential towers—44 storeys and 48 storeys—a 9-storey hotel and at-grade retail space. Presentations will be made by City of Vaughan urban designer Shahrzad Davoudi-Strike, Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects executive vice president Mansoor Kazerouni and John Zipay & Associates /Weston Consulting affiliated planner John Zipay.
