The Peacock Walk took place on September 24th at Chancellor District park located on 430 Chancellor Drive. Peacock Walk is a fundraising event in support of Women Facing Violence. For the last couple of years Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women has been offering employment services to the clients free of charge. This year they reached their goal to connect 50 clients with meaningful employment and now they are trying to expand this service for which community members support. The proceeds raised from this event will be spent for this purpose to provide more clients with employment services, particularly women facing violence as they try to help them regain their strength by having meaningful employment.
