Vaughan is looking to add five types of businesses to the list of those it currently governs, licenses and regulates, according to a city staff report.
Should council adopt a recommendation made by city staff, driveway pavers, landscapers, fence installers, pool installers and renovators wishing to do work in Vaughan will need to get a business licence.
The proposal calls for an initial licence fee of $360 in 2016 climbing to $381 in $2018 with a renewal fee starting at $180 and climbing to $185 by 2018.
Councillors will consider the staff report at a Nov. 7 committee of the whole meeting, which starts at 9:30 a.m. at city hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.
