Seniors Association of Vaughan Initiative (S.A.V.I.) presented Venturing Together “Cultural-Diversity Festival” on September 11th at the Fontana Primavera Event Centre. Registration began at 10:30am and the Member Clubs Walk-In lead by the Vaughan Chinese Waist Drum Dance Team took place at 11:00am. Welcome and introductions were done by Regional Councillor Mario Ferri (Founder and Honorary Chair of S.A.V.I.) and Isabella Ferrara (S.A.V.I. President). Greetings were made by MP for Vaughan-Woodbridge Francesco Sorbara, MP for King-Vaughan Deb Schulte and the Mayor Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua. DJ Adriano spun up some tunes as a delicious lunch was served to all. Soprano Vocalist Laura Raffin was there as well singing up some beautiful notes. Then a raffle/lottery draw followed by closing remarks ended this great day. Thank you to the many sponsors that helped put this event together.
