The 4th Annual Vaughan Parkinson Superwalk took place on September 11th at Vaughan City Hall located on 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive. 2KM and 5KM runners were welcomed and Chuck E Cheese the mascot joined the walk. The walk started at 10:30am, as the City of Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua attended the opening ceremonies at 10:00 am. All of the teams formed and got on their way with the walk as this was all for an incredible cause. Parkinson SuperWalk is the largest nationwide fundraising event for Parkinson Canada. Approximately 10,000 people from coast-to-coast organize and take part in Parkinson SuperWalk. By 2031, the number of people living with Parkinson’s in Canada will more than double. people participated in the Parkinson SuperWalk to fund the increasing need for support services, education, advocacy and research. This was a great moment for the city of Vaughan to be a part of something special. We look forward to covering more positive initiatives like this one.
