PowerStream's efforts in promoting safety and wellness to its workforce has earned the company recognition from Canadian Occupational Safety as the Gold Recipient of Canada's Safest Employers Award in the Utilities category as well the Gold Recipient in the Wellness category. This marks the first time that PowerStream has been named a Gold Recipient in both categories in the same year.

The awards were presented at the Canada's Safest Employers Awards Gala held at the Arcadian Court in Toronto on Monday evening. PowerStream has now earned a total of nine Canada's Safest Employers Awards over a five-year period.

Two separate panels of judges selected PowerStream for the awards through a rigorous selection and judging process that took into consideration the extensive number of health and safety policies, procedures and programs the company has in place to maintain a culture of safety and wellness in the organization.
