With everything from frights to get you in the Halloween spirit to shopping to singing, there is plenty going on in York Region this weekend.

1. Connect with peers and industry experts at the VAUGHAN BUSINESS WEEK KICK-OFF CELEBRATION on Oct. 21 from 7:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. at KPMG Tower.

2. Discover what happens after hours during the MUSEUM AFTER DARK event at King Heritage and Cultural Centre on Oct. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.

3. Experience Kabbalt Shabbat like never before during ROCK SHABBAT at Temple Kol Ami in Vaughan on Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

4. Lace up for Vaughan’s 8th annual RECASSIST 5KM WALK/RUN that is taking place on the Humber River Trail Oct. 22 from 8 to 11 a.m.

5. Get hands on at Pierre Berton Resource Library’s MAKE IT! EXPO that will feature the makings of tech enthusiasts, tinkerers, scientists and artists. The event is being held in Vaughan on Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

6. Get spooked at Georgina Pioneer Village and Museum’s FAMILY FRIGHT FIESTA on Oct. 22 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be activities for the entire family.

7. Tickle your taste buds with drinks and dishes from Markham’s best chefs and food vendors at OKTOBERFEAST. Hosted by the Markham Museum, the event begins at 6 p.m. on Oct. 22.

8. Go shopping at THE WAREHOUSE MALL, three full buildings of designer brands and premium products housed at the Markham Fairgrounds Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

9. Explore beloved hymns in new musical settings at Our Lady of Grace Church’s LET MY PEOPLE SING! HYMN FESTIVAL in Aurora on Oct. 23 from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
