This year, the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raised more than $7 million for local charities across the country.

During the week-long campaign, proceeds from freshly baked Smile Cookies helped support more than 450 organizations, hospitals and community programs.

Nine York Region organizations were supported through this year’s Smile Cookie campaign. Those organizations include: Community Living Newmarket-Aurora; King Township Food Bank; CHATS - Community Home Assistance to Seniors; Autism Ontario, York Chapter; Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation; the Children's Breakfast Club; Reach For the Rainbow; Georgina Cares Fund; and Nobleton Kids.
