The new Scarborough transit plan, with a one-stop subway extension and light-rail on Kingston Rd. and Eglinton Ave., is officially on track.
Mayor John Tory’s executive committee voted unanimously Thursday for city staff to study and report back on the plan unveiled last week by chief planner Jennifer Keesmaat, with Tory’s blessing.
Several Scarborough councillors who had backed the previous three-stop subway plan said the new plan, with a one-stop extension to Scarborough Town Centre plus LRT, brings more transit to more residents.
